About TWYI
TWYI was registered as a non-profit organisation in 2017, primarily to close the skills gap between the average youth graduating from our schools and skills required to be successful in the workplace. Beyond this, we also are passionate about the African youth as they are our future. The board comprises the partners of the Workplace Centre – Dr Moji Olateru-Olagbegi, Mrs. Bola Adeniyi-Taiwo and Mrs. Abiola Omotayo- Benson.
According to the UN, Africa has the youngest population in the world with 70% below the age of 30. For Africa to become a vibrant competitive world economy, it is imperative that we develop the youth with skills relevant for today and the future. Technology in particular has impacted ways of working tremendously and to be relevant and competitive, African youth need to acquire tech skills. At TWYI we decided to invest in developing skills of young people from Secondary (High) School to young graduates thereby helping them to realise their potentials by exposing them to vistas of possibilities, enabling them to express themselves in innovative and creative ways. We have since partnered with different organisations including Oracle Academy, Google, United Way and Computer Society of Nigeria amongst others.
